Instructor Bio

Hi, I’m Joseph, and I would love to be your English teacher!  Here are some of my professional qualifications:

• Degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science Education
• CELTA Certificate (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
• Teacher: Secondary Mathematics and Computer Science, Starting in 2011
• Teacher: English as a Second Language, Starting in 2023
• Current Students Include: Professional Photographers, Software Developers, Film Producers, PhD Students, Construction Workers, Students and Professionals Preparing for IELTS/TOEFL Exams. My students include everyone from A1 to C2.

Here’s a little about me personally:

• I’m from the United States, and have recently been splitting my time between Idaho (USA) and Mexico City (Mexico).
• I love living close to national forests, Mexico’s UNESCO world heritage cuisine, and most of all the warmth and hospitality of my friends and neighbors. I love where I live, and I would love to learn about where you live as well.
• A few of my interests include playing the clarinet (I play in a local community orchestra), learning Spanish, and hiking (I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2010). I am excited to get to know you, too!
